Common Issues
Cannot Delete Unit
- Check if the unit is being used by any items
- Remove the unit from items before deleting
- Consider creating a new unit instead of deleting
Duplicate Unit Names
- Each unit name should be unique
- Use descriptive names to avoid confusion
- Consider adding context (e.g., “Meter - Length” vs “Meter - Area”)
Wrong Quantity Code
- You can edit units to change quantity codes
- Ensure the new code better matches your unit type
- Consider impact on existing reports and documents
Setup Recommendations
Initial Setup
- Start with commonly used units in your business
- Add specialized units as needed
